Redevelopment of the low-yielding Alexandra Distripark into Mapletree Business City I, comprising one office building and three business park buildings, increasing the gross floor area (GFA) by 13.7%.

Asset enhancement initiative was carried out on PSA Building to transform the retail podium into Alexandra Retail Centre, increasing the net lettable area by 26.6%.

Redevelopment of The Comtech to MBC II, a high-quality business park with a GFA of almost 125,000 sqm. MBC II features the tallest business park in Singapore with 30 storeys and offers complementary spaces such as recreational facilities and a variety of dining options.

The HarbourFront Precinct is a landmark development for Mapletree. By building on the inherent merits of its prime location within Singapore’s southern waterfront and tourist belt, its transformation elevated an ageing district into high-yielding real estate.

The old exhibition halls of World Trade Centre were demolished to make way for the development of VivoCity. Conceptualised on a ‘wave’ theme inspired by its waterfront location, VivoCity has become a world-class shopping destination and an iconic landmark of Singapore southern waterfront. It is also Singapore’s largest mall.

The former World Trade Centre was retrofitted into HarbourFront Centre, an office cum retail development that also houses the Singapore Cruise Centre. 

With increasing demand for office space in fringe CBD areas, Mapletree further developed three prime office buildings – HarbourFront Tower One and the build-to-suit Bank of America HarbourFront – and upgraded the Singapore Cable Car Tower into office building HarbourFront Tower Two, which continues to serve as a cable car terminal connecting Sentosa Island and Mount Faber. In 2021, the refurbished St James Power Station (SJPS) was leased to Dyson to house its global headquarters. Gazetted as a National Monument in 2009, SJPS now houses a heritage gallery in one of its distinctive chimneys to showcase its contribution to Singapore as a power station, as well as a heritage trail around the monument featuring maritime artefacts.

The Reef at King’s Dock, 429-unit residential luxury development, was successfully launched in 2021. Located along the waterfront, the development includes a 180-metre floating deck, a first for a residential project in Singapore.
